A reminder why I buy raw almond butter instead of peanut butter: "Peanuts often contain a fungus-produced toxin called alfatoxin, the most potent carcinogen ever discovered. A survey of 29 jars of peanut butter revealed all of them contained 300 times the acceptable amount of alfatoxin for the US. Alfatoxin has been strongly linked to liver cancer in lab mice & children (Information obtained from "The China Study").
